The Spofford Hotel was completed in 1950’s, and the building still stands today at the corner of 93rd Street and 3rd Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
In 1961, Lloyd Landow graduates from the University of Pennsylvania and joins his father in the practice.
The firm is renamed Landow and Landow Architects.
The firm designed Huntington Brake Service as the first precast concrete building constructed on Long Island.
This adaptive reuse of a barn into the offices of a prestigious law firm was the recipient of an Archi Award presented by
the American Institute of Architects.
Still in use today as the Smithtown home of the AAA, this building was the recipient of an Archi Award presented by
the American Institute of Architects.
Assembled on multiple sites, each in only two days, this award winning prefabricated kiosk was designed for
the newly developed ATM.
One of numerous healthcare projects completed by the firm, this design involved the adaptive reuse of an elementary school into 160 bed nursing home.
After receiving their architectural degrees, Marc, Robin, and Glen Landow joined their father in the practice.
As featured in the New York Times, this project on the Atlantic Ocean in Brooklyn included a new 320 bed nursing home constructed of precast concrete wall and floor panels.

The recipient of an AIA Color Award, this was one of five clinics designed to care for the medical needs of those with
developmental disabilities.
Located on the Hudson River in Westchester County, New York, this project included the expansion and major modernization of a 306 bed skilled nursing facility.
Building on the firm’s educational portfolio, the British International School of New York’s Art and Science Center was recognized by American School & University Magazine.
